LEARN COMPUTERS & IMPROVE ENGLISH  

This course is designed for people learning English as an additional languare (EAL).  This course will help students learn computer skills. improve English shills, improve confidence and

ESL

 prepare for further English education and/or future employment.

Develop skills to:

- practice short, simple conversations

- listen to and give information and instructions

- read and write short simple messages, information and instructions

- read and complete short forms

- learn to use a computer

- explore online community resources

- access the internet and email to develop language skills

- produce simple work processed documents

- develop language and presentation skills by creating slideshows

SENIORS FESTIVAL - ONLINE BANKING WORKSHOP   NEW

Celebrate the Victorian Seniors Festival with an introduction to online banking and bill paying in a completely SAFE simulation environment.  You can practice using a dummy bank account - none of your personal or private information is required.  Learn to view your accounts, transfer money between accounts and pay other people.  While each bank has its own website and way of viewing accounts and functions, these will be much easier to understand once you have practiced with the simulator.

WINDOWS 10 - BEGINNER   

Learn to use the mouse and keyboard, customise the Windows 10 Start Menu and find your way around popular Apps. Create, save and print documents using the free App “Wordpad”. Import and edit your photos using the Windows 10 Photo App. Introduction to the Internet using Microsoft’s new Edge browser.

Introduction to Microsoft Word. Formatting text, adding bullets. Inserting and working with images. Adding tablets, borders and Word art. Creating professional, workplace documents such as letters and reports. Creating a Powerpoint slideshow. Adding text, images audio, video clips and transitions to slides. Displaying and printing slides. Introduction to Microsoft Excel. Using formulas. Creating a budget.

OFFICE APPLICATIONS - ADVANCED

Using further advanced features of Microsoft Word such as styles, headers, Mail Merge, Smart Art, reviewing documents by adding comments and adding track changes and creating a table of contents.  Using advanced features of Power Point such as animations, editing master slides and creating customised slideshows.  Continuing with Microsoft Excel and creating additional formulas, using conditional formatting and creating advanced spreadsheets.

INTRODUCTION TO MYOB

Computerised Accounting Course.

The course aims to: demonstrate to participants the major functions of MYOB AccountRight Version 19 and provide participants with sufficient expertise to use MYOB in a work environment.

Pre-requisite: computing skills and an understanding of basic bookkeeping.

Course fee includes the Microstar publishing manual "Introduction to MYOB19 with GST, PAYG and BAS"
